Elyte Fast is a complementary feed for horses intended for particular nutritional purposes (compensation of electrolyte loss in the cases of heavy sweating). Since it’s liquid, Elyte Fast is easy to use even during competitions, especially during Endurance riding ones.
Elyte Fast is particularly useful not only during hot seasons, in which horses sweat more, but also in all situations in which horses sweat more than usual, such as intense trainings, competitions and long horse trekking rides. Elyte Fast is particularly useful during endurance riding competitions for it can be easily mixed with water and provided to horses at assistance points and vet gates.
Elyte Fast’s formula includes aspartates, which, after ingestion, release electrolytes and aspartic acid. Aspartic acid is a glucogenic amino acid that can increase energy production via the Krebs cycle and improve physical activity. In particular, potassium and magnesium salts let the body save muscle glycogen and stimulate its resynthesis (59). Elyte Fast contains L-glycine, the simplest amino acid known: it accelerates the restoration of electrolyte salts in cells and plays a primary role in the synthesis of proteins, ATP, glutathione and glycogen. Therefore, L-glycine is considered a new antioxidant (4).
Use 10 cl (= 100 ml, corresponding to the first graduation mark of the measuring chamber) of Elyte Fast per day. It is suggested to increase the dose up to 25 cl (= 250 ml) per day in case of prolonged efforts and/or during hot seasons. Elyte Fast is particularly recommended for all horses that tend to sweat heavily. Leave plenty of water at the horse’s disposal. Elyte Fast may be added both to drinking water or the daily ration.
Recommended length of time: One to three days after heavy sweating
(Since each horse has its own peculiarities feeds and complementary feeds should always be introduced in its diet gradually).
