Our Ambassadors in their national blue jerseys!
An Interview with our Brand Ambassadors, Beatrice Arturi and Francesca Salvadè, both leaving for two world championship events to be held in July and August.
This month we have the honour and the pleasure of dedicating the article of our blog to some wonderful news: the convening of two Unika Brand Ambassadors for two very important competitive events. We are talking about the amazons, Beatrice Arturi and Francesca Salvadè, recently summoned to Team Italy respectively for the European Junior and Young Rider Dressage Championships in Hartpury, United Kingdom (23rd – 30th July 2022) and for the Para dressage World Championships in Herning, Denmark (8th -14th August 2022).
Those of our Ambassadors are stories of friendship, horses, emotions, victories and sometimes even defeats… special partnerships that go beyond mere sponsorship and which for us are an important added value to our strength! We will tell you how these two amazing amazons are experiencing this special moment with a hint of pride in the following paragraphs after having interviewed them by telephone prior to their departure.
She who will be opening the dance on the 23rd of July 2022, will be Beatrice Arturi, born in 2001 and with over 100 starts in international competitions and numerous victories.
“It is always an honour to be able to participate in the European Championships representing the Italian tricolour flag of the Italian national team – says Beatrice. For me it is the seventh call-up to the Europeans, on this occasion I will be riding “the Daily Deal”, a horse owned by the stables I work for – Gestüt Sprehe – while my horse “Grandeur” has been called up as a reserve. Having qualified both, with good scores, is a great satisfaction for me.
“I thank the Unika Team very much – continues Beatrice – always at my side and for several years. Thanks to their technical support and their products we are able to give the best in the rectangle. In view of the Europeans, we have studied a specific dietary supplement based on Gastro Pellet, Lactic Control paste gel and Im-Unika 67 for horses. Finally, once we arrive at our destination, there will be “Unika Balls”; these are ideal because they have no contraindications and help “Daily Deal”, who is a stallion, to get distracted and not fidget too much in the box given the presence of other horses ”
From the 8th to the 14th of August it will be the turn of Francesca Salvadè, born in 1989, with 150 starts in international races and over 50 victories.
“This year I received my third call-up to the World Championships – says Francesca enthusiastically – they will be held in Denmark and in the same location where I took part in the 2013 European Championships. My adventure companion will be “Oliver-Vitz”, a Danish gelding from 2008, who has been with me for three years now, and with whom I have already participated in a European Championship in 2019, reaching the final in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics; then played in 2021 due to the pandemic. My technicians are Norma Paoli and Italo Cirocchi of the DresssageLife stable of Usmate Velate, in Lombardy, Italy. My teammates will be Sara Morganti, Federica Sileoni and Carola Semperboni, while the national team coach is Alessandro Benedetti. ”
My relationship with Unika was born in 2012, the year of my first Paralympics in London on my trusty “Come On”. That was my first experience in this discipline, as I have always practiced show jumping. The Unika team has supported me since my international beginnings, they have always believed in me and since then my horses have kept fit thanks to their products. Over the years I have had the opportunity to ride different horses, each with its own needs, personality and physical characteristics, so I have had the opportunity to test many products.
With my “Muggy”, my favourite horse and fellow competitor around the world for nine long years, I used to use products both for the wellbeing of cartilage and joints, and (especially when he was younger), for his mental relaxation. With Olly, for these World Championships, we are using “Unicartilage” and “Gastro Pellet”, ideal to help horses who travel a lot due to competitions. During the summer I also administer electrolytes and Unika vitamin complexes which are very useful for replenishing the salts lost with sweat during work. I also use Lactic Control, especially during the journey and upon arrival at the race location. Finally, “Olly” assumes, before the most demanding competitions from an emotional point of view, a single-dose of Prequalm paste gel and Free to Fly, essential for improving the flexibility and fluidity of movements.
We leave for these Championships charged and motivated – concludes Francesca – hoping to reap the fruits of our hard work. Thanks to Unika and all those who believe in us, we will give our best!
In addition to the beautiful partnership with Francesca and Beatrice over the last four years, we also have a dressagist and she who needs no introduction: Tatiana Miloserdova, an Italian/Russian rider by adoption – who boasts numerous placings and victories at international level and an individual participation in 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Unika is very proud of these three women who as the official spokeswomen of their brand. “In choosing our Ambassadors – says Dr. Sara Maiani, Quality Manager of Linea Unika – we always have an eye looking not only at their achievements, but also for the fair play that distinguishes them on the competition fields and, again, more, in everyday life together with their horses. It is essential that our riders and amazons share and reflect 100% the company’s identity and values. The well-being of horses is always in first place, regardless of the competitive result for its own sake. When we add good results to love and respect – concludes Dr Maiani – our satisfaction is even greater. ”
Unika concretely supports its Ambassadors with product supplies, evaluating and studying both together with the veterinarians the best possible food path for horses, after a careful analysis of the physical, metabolic and competitive season in the program, repeated ceaselessly, year after year, with passion and dedication working as a team.
